The car sustained small damage to the Mylar coating on the front and rear fender as well as broken rear left lite. The light was replaced expeditiously with a genuine new BMW part and the Mylar coating removed without damage to the paint. Repair fees were reasonable. Will use this shop again if needed (God forbid).
